Known issues:

1. Adding new ranges doesn’t work. Exit StageCad and use notepad to duplicate the last line in RANGES.DAT, Save this text file and restart StageCad. The added range can now be edited. Changing existing ranges works OK.

2.  The generated files for Match booklets and Construction booklets doesn’t work on most versions of MS Word -- it works OK on mine :-)  If the pictures are wrong you will need to save the RTF files generated in your Word Processor, (don’t save them as RTF files, but as the normal document type -- the RTF files are enormous) then go back and use the “Copy to Clipboard” button on each StageCad window, and paste the pictures into your Word Processor over the top of the existing ones.  Alternatively they can be pasted into something else, ie a Web site editor.

3. On some machines (mostly Windows 98), and with some video cards the dialog box which pops up and allows you to move all props around the range will break the graphics drivers in Windows. If this happens move all the props, save the match / stage, and exit and restart StageCad.  This problem happens when you don’t have a matching range, or you use the move all props menu choice.

4.  Some video cards don’t like having two 3D windows open at once. If the content of both windows turns up flashing in one window then you have this problem. It only happens if you have a hardware 3D card that supports OpenGL graphics. You can try changing the color depth, ie changing from 16 or 32 bits per pixel to 24 bits per pixel generally fixes this. You can also try disabling OpenGL, or turning down graphics acceleration.  Until I get a number of hardware 3D cards this will be a problem.

5.  The tutorial is not up to date, particularly in respect of the “stick the cursor down” and related user interface changes.  The history in the help file mentions the changes since the tutorial was written.
